today I felt much better, I worked today but it wasn't very busy!
So we had a really good day.

Thankful I am alive

well Thanksgiving wasn't so great!!! Grace and I either had the stomach bug or we had a food borne illnes. We kind of lean toward the food illness. We had leftover potato casserole, and it had us, we think for about 2 days. In the early hours of Thanksgiving day Grace woke me up with it coming out the "attic" and I thought I would be ok. Then as the morning proceeded, I began to have problems in the "basement" and very sick. We both were running fevers and aching. So we laid on the couch and recliners and slept Thanksgiving 2008 away. Meanwhile the other healthy family members went to my brother Will's house in Madison and had family Thanksgiving Dinner. I am thankful that noone else got what we had. I am still weak today but feeling better by the hours. I at least ate something today and didn't get sick.
Grace has struggled with weakness too but we are getting our strength. I think we were dehydrated.
Well I hope your Thanksgiving was much better , but we may have dinner tomorrow night at Cracker Barrell during the Al. Au game. Roll Tide but I don't care to watch it. Just let me know who wins in the end:)

weekly

Seems like things are so weekly, we do the same things every week. But these nights are so long!!!This dst gets to me sometimes.

I worked today and at Chickfila we make a lot of friends and have made some emotional connections to alot of them. In our chick family this week we have had some really tough times. One of the ladies that works in the mall, Mrs. Watson, her only grandchild was killed last weekend in a horrible car accident, he was 21. She showed me his picture and just poured her heart out and made she and I both cry. Then Ms. Judy came in today and she and have just connected way back, she works in the mall also. She told me she had bad news today. Her blood is so low it's dangerous. They do not know where it's going but she is severly anemic. She has had cancer and many other health needs, but she is just so worried that something is really bad wrong. She asked me to pray for her today. Sooo , saying that, if you get to read this please pray for Mrs. Watson and Ms. Judy. I feel honored that they would ask me to pray for them, but I have come to really love them and it hurts me when they hurt:*(
I know that is why the Lord has me where I am right now, to minister to so many. I have many friends.
I hope your weekend is full of fun!

Life

Life sometimes gets us down, mine has been real busy and stressful. I sometimes wish to get off this fast moving train.
Disappointments and challenges make me stressed but I know that God is in control!!
I just have to trust that the Lord knows best for us!, in all life's situations.

Jeremiah 29:11 has brought on a new meaning in the last week or so.

I worked today and we had the health inspector come and we made a great!!!!!!!!97

I must share our watermelon story with you!

We pulled up our shrubs a long time ago(we thought we would replant, hasn't happened so far)

so when the sun got to the front of the house this fall , wow, watermelon vines started growing and then we had 3 watermelons start to grow in the fall.

JD was so thrilled!! so we couldn't cut them down, so we watched them grow, day by day. But,,,the cool temps kept them from growing big enough to eat and the vine started to die, so we decided to cut our melons and check them out on the inside.

so these pics are for that purpose. Happy Watermelon Y'all!

These are some of our friends that we have had for "umpteen" years, we never all get together but we finally did and we loved it. A nice fall afternoon.

for an update:

Things are not better at our youth, but I know that the Lord is going to show His awesome strength and power soon. I know that the Lord is ultimately in control and this is for a reason.

My kids are just hurting and I can't do anything else about it, I have done all I know to do and right now the Lord is just making me stand still and I know that is His plan at this time but it's really hard for me.

Life passing by

Well it's been a few days since I blogged but it's been kind of busy. I worked 3 days(monday,tuesday,wednesday) this week and it's been nice to be off this weekend. The kids are on fall break monday and tuesday.
Life is stressful is all I can say more about this week

It's been a week

Sorry it's been such a long time since I blogged:(
We were busy last week and I substituted on friday, for the first time in over a year!
I love the high school, I did the shop class. It was alright, except for the time when the boy came in and I handed out the assignment and he came up to my desk and said "here you can have this back, I don't do this stuff for subs" I kindly told him he had to keep it and he would receive a zero 0000000000000 for his work, and that he didn't need to cause trouble or he could go to the office and he said " oh I'll be good" , I never heard from him again, even though he didn't do his work. Zero city here he comes.
Then the kids and I went to Nashville on Friday night and spent the night and got up on Saturday morning and went to the Flea Market up there. IT IS HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We walked for 4 hours and left and had not seen it all. I love to go there, it's so much to see and you can rummage through junk and boxes or go right to the new purse vendors or to the sunglass or jewelry vendors. Its fun!!!
Then we had a great Sunday! The preaching was wonderful. Our pastor, Steve Agee, is not only a great preacher but MAN Can he sing!! He sang and the Spirit just moved in , and we had a wonderful testimony time and the Lord was just all over the place. What a wonderful time we had!

Saturday, is good for sleeping in and doing laundry and just doing whatever you want. That is just exactly what we did today. Except, Grace worked and so did Brent for a while. Oh and ROLL TIDE!!! You know I haven't said that alot in the last few years but it sure feels good to say it now.
We went to eat at Logan's and it was delicious and then went to Target. It don't get much better. My girls would say we are really boring but I really like to do that.

We made it through.
I went to work today, had some weak spells but I did make it.
I came home and had a burst of energy,something I haven't had in a while, and cleaned house and did some laundry. That made me feel good. Hope none of you get it!

Oh NO!

Well about 12 o'clock midnight, I got the stomach virus, I was very sick before then but it hit me about then and I have been sick all day. Very strong stomach virus, it has hit hard. About 4 a.m. Grace gets up doing the same. So I could barely help her for being sick myself. That is really bad. We both have been home all day. Right now we are eating popsicles and feel like we have been beat with a BIG bat! We are sore all over.
Man, this stuff is horrible. JD brought this prize home to us from school on friday. He had this. I just pray that Lilly doesn't get it.
Say a little prayer for us!

Thursday thoughts

Today was a normal work day, got up got kids off to school, then I went to work. I got to see Jill Hollis Starnes and her new baby girl Josi and her husband. Sweet, Sweet beautiful little girl.
I worked then went to eat with Will at Phil Sandovals(mexican rest.)And if you read this Will, Thank you!!! it was good, but boy has it ever gave me the heartburn:(
I came home from work and took the kids to the library, that was fun. It is always fun enjoying free stuff. I got some cds, dvds and some books. Then we went to Target again , to pick up some medicine. Then we came home and I am ready to put my feet up!
I am off tomorrow from work and I am gonna enjoy it. Need to do laundry but, when do I not need to do laundry???

Wednesday fun

This morning started off good at Cracker Barrell with my mother. I enjoyed it tremendously. The food was good but the company was better. I am glad my mother has retired, I get to spend more time with her, while the kids are in school. Then she and I went to Target and looked around, I looked at cheap school supplies. Right now is the opportune time to stock up. 17, 24, and 98 cent items!
Then I was off to eat with my other friends for lunch. We had a good lunch and I enjoyed the company with them too. My working has gotten into my social life, really bad,,ha.
Now we are off to church.

This is the chick fil a that I work at. We open every morning at 9 am. I usually work 3 or 4 days a week.
Today I went to work and Grace came over after school and we went and had her senior pics made at a place called "potrait innovations" and it was the best place for pics.
We got some really great pics, I am gonna try to load them or at least one tonight.
I was alot of fun. She has grown up too soon! Seems like I was pushing her in a stroller yesterday and now we are getting her senior pics made. Life goes on, don't it?
Well we had a good day. I am really tired. I better run. Good day! more pics if I can load them:)

hELLO,
I have never blogged before but I hope you can enjoy my days. I work at Chickfil in Huntsville, AL. and my brother is the owner of the store there. It's great! I totally love it.
I am 39 years old...forever I guess:)
I worked today and we are mourning the loss of "the Gap" in our mall. Our customers are very angry at this loss. They are running over to a new outdoor mall, the only thing is, you have to park in a deck then walk about 1/4 mile into this outdoor mall. You can't just drive up and park and shop. You must park then walk into this mini community to shop. It's the fad right now. I hope it is this winter and when it's raining.
It does affect our business but we know that the Lord will bless!
