For those of you who know, Brian and Tammy this is their little boy ,Alex!

I took this on my phone so it's not the best pic. But you can see he is the sweetest baby boy!He's the cutest nephew in the world!

I must share our watermelon story with you!

We pulled up our shrubs a long time ago(we thought we would replant, hasn't happened so far)

so when the sun got to the front of the house this fall , wow, watermelon vines started growing and then we had 3 watermelons start to grow in the fall.

JD was so thrilled!! so we couldn't cut them down, so we watched them grow, day by day. But,,,the cool temps kept them from growing big enough to eat and the vine started to die, so we decided to cut our melons and check them out on the inside.

so these pics are for that purpose. Happy Watermelon Y'all!

These are some of our friends that we have had for "umpteen" years, we never all get together but we finally did and we loved it. A nice fall afternoon.

for an update:

Things are not better at our youth, but I know that the Lord is going to show His awesome strength and power soon. I know that the Lord is ultimately in control and this is for a reason.

My kids are just hurting and I can't do anything else about it, I have done all I know to do and right now the Lord is just making me stand still and I know that is His plan at this time but it's really hard for me.

Life passing by

Well it's been a few days since I blogged but it's been kind of busy. I worked 3 days(monday,tuesday,wednesday) this week and it's been nice to be off this weekend. The kids are on fall break monday and tuesday.
Life is stressful is all I can say more about this week

It's been a week

Sorry it's been such a long time since I blogged:(
We were busy last week and I substituted on friday, for the first time in over a year!
I love the high school, I did the shop class. It was alright, except for the time when the boy came in and I handed out the assignment and he came up to my desk and said "here you can have this back, I don't do this stuff for subs" I kindly told him he had to keep it and he would receive a zero 0000000000000 for his work, and that he didn't need to cause trouble or he could go to the office and he said " oh I'll be good" , I never heard from him again, even though he didn't do his work. Zero city here he comes.
Then the kids and I went to Nashville on Friday night and spent the night and got up on Saturday morning and went to the Flea Market up there. IT IS HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We walked for 4 hours and left and had not seen it all. I love to go there, it's so much to see and you can rummage through junk and boxes or go right to the new purse vendors or to the sunglass or jewelry vendors. Its fun!!!
Then we had a great Sunday! The preaching was wonderful. Our pastor, Steve Agee, is not only a great preacher but MAN Can he sing!! He sang and the Spirit just moved in , and we had a wonderful testimony time and the Lord was just all over the place. What a wonderful time we had!

There is Sunday then there's Monday there's Tuesday and there's Wednesday there's Thursday and there's Friday and then there's SATURDAY!!!YAH!!!

Saturday, is good for sleeping in and doing laundry and just doing whatever you want. That is just exactly what we did today. Except, Grace worked and so did Brent for a while. Oh and ROLL TIDE!!! You know I haven't said that alot in the last few years but it sure feels good to say it now.
We went to eat at Logan's and it was delicious and then went to Target. It don't get much better. My girls would say we are really boring but I really like to do that.
